बीजेपी ने आख़िरकार यूपी की दो हाईप्रोफ़ाइल सीटों पर भी अपने उम्मीदवारों के नामों का ऐलान कर दिया. कैसरगंज से मौजूदा सांसद बृजभूषण शरण सिंह की जगह उनके बेटे करण भूषण सिंह को मैदान में उतारा गया, जबकि रायबरेली से दिनेश प्रताप सिंह को टिकट दी गई. इन सीटों पर नामांकन का आख़िरी दिन शुक्रवार है. इससे पहले सुबह एक वीडियो सामने आया था, जिसमें करण अपने पिता बृजभूषण सिंह के पैर छूते दिखाई दिए थे.
