इंग्लैंड के बर्मिंघम में चल रहे कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स में वेटलिफ्टिंग में भारत को एक और सफलता मिली. बुधवार को पुरुषों के 109 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में भारत के धाकड़ वेटलिफ्टर लवप्रीत सिंह ने ब्रॉन्ज मेडल अपने नाम किया. उन्होंने स्नैच में 163 किलोग्राम और क्लीन एंड जर्क में 192 किलोग्राम वजन उठया। इस तरह उन्होंने कुल 355 किलो वजन उठाते हुए मेडल अपने नाम किया. लवप्रीत की इस सफलता पर उनके घर अमृतसर में खूब जश्न मनाया गया. यहां उनके परिवार के लोगों ने एक दूसरे को मिठाई खिला कर खुशी का इजहार किया परिवारवालों का कहना है कि लवप्रीत के अमृतसर लौटने पर उनका जोरदार स्वागत किया जाएगा.
