Cakes were cut, happiness was celebrated. It is the first deluxe class in India that was designed keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. The introduction of the 'Deccan Queen' between Mumbai and Pune was a major milestone in the history of the erstwhile Great Indian Peninsula Railway. Deccan Queen is no less than a heritage for Indian Railways.
