वाराणसी में मनाया गया गोपाष्टमी पर्व, गौ माता की पूरे विधि-विधान से की गई पूजा

आज कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि है. आज गोपाष्टमी का पर्व है. आज गाय की पूजा कर उनका आशीर्वाद लिया जाता है. इस क्रम में आज धर्म नगरी वाराणसी में गोपाष्टमी का पर्व धूम धाम से मनाया गया. वहां की तमाम गोशालाओं में गायों की पूजा की गई. गायों का श्रंगार किया गया. फिर गोमाता की आरती भी उतारी गई. गायों को चारा खिलाया गया. मान्यता है कि आज के दिन गो माता की पूजी करने से विशेष पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है.
