मंगलवार का दिन कॉमनवेल्थ में सुनहरी कामयाबी वाला दिन रहा. लॉन बॉल्स के अलावा भारत ने टेबल टेनिस के टीम इवेंट में भी गोल्ड हासिल किया. टेबल टेनिस मेंस टीम इवेंट में भारत ने फाइनल में सिंगापुर को 3-1 से हरा कर देश को पांचवा गोल्ड दिलाया. सिंगापुर के खिलाफ भारतीय खिलाड़ियों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और अपने आक्रामक खेल से सिंगापुर के खिलाड़ियों को संभलने का मौका नहीं दिया. पहले मुकाबले में साथियान और हरमीत की जोड़ी ने शानदार आगाज करते हुए मैच अपने नाम किया. दूसरे मुकाबले में सिंगापुर ने वापसी की और अचिंत्य शरत कमल अपने प्रतिद्वंदी से मात खा गए. लेकिन तीसरे और चौथे मैच में साथियन और हरमीत ने अपने अपने एकल मुकाबले जीत कर टीम को 3-1 से जीत दिला दी.
