मुंबई की ट्रैफिक को नया आयाम देने की कोशिश जोर शोर से चल रही है. अगर निर्माण की रफ्तार इसी तरीके से जारी रही. तो आनेवाले नवंबर में कोस्टल रोड के पहले चरण की सौगात मुंबई को मिल जाएगी. मुंबई तटीय सड़क परियोजना बीएमसी की महत्वकांक्षी परियोजनाओं में से एक है. ये परियोजना कोलाबा को बांद्रा-वर्ली सी लिंक को जोड़ेगी. जिसमें समुद्र के उपर पुल, समुद्र और पहाड़ी के नीचे सुरंग. समुद्री दीवार के साथ लोगों के लिए समुद्र को निहारने की सुविधा भी विकसित की जाएगी. इसके शुरू होने के बाद मुंबई के लोगों को को ट्रैफिक से भी निजात मिलेगा. साथ ही यात्रा के समय को 70 फीसदी तक कम किया जा सकेगा. करीब साढ़े दस किलोमीटर के इस प्रोजेक्ट में तीन इंटरचेंज भी होंगे. मुंबई के कोस्टल रोड प्रोजेक्ट में सड़क भी होगी. ब्रिज भी होगा और सुरंग भी होगी.
