रामानंद सागर के कालजयी रामायण सीरियल में भगवान राम का अभूतपूर्व किरदार निभाने वाले अरुण गोविल और माता सीता की भूमिका निभाने वाली दीपिका गुरुवार को मां सीता की प्राकट्य भूमि मिथिला की धरती पर पहुंचे तो उनका वहां पर जोरदार स्वागत किया गया. दरभंगा पहुंचे अरुण गोविल और दीपिका की अगवानी शहर के विधायक संजय सरावगी ने मिथिला की परंपरा के अनुसार पाग और चादर के साथ फूलों का गुलदस्ता देकर की. दोनों कलाकार एक निजी कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने दरभंगा पहुंचे थे जहां कुछ देर होटल में गुजारने के बाद सीधे दरभंगा के घनशायमपुर गांव निकल गए जहां वे एक उपनयन संस्कार में शामिल हुए. यहां दोनों कलाकारों को देखने के लिए ग्रामीणों की भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी. रामायण सीरियल के राम और सीता को देखकर लोग इतने उत्साहित हो गए कि पूरे जोशो-खरोश और भक्ति भाव से जय श्री राम का नारा लगाने लगे. इस मौके पर अरुण गोविल और दीपिका ने मां सीता की पावन भूमि की जमकर तारीफ की और अयोध्या की तर्ज पर सीतामढ़ी में भी भव्य मंदिर बनाने की वकालत की.
Arun Govil, who played the unprecedented character of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's classic Ramayana serial, and Deepika, who played the role of Mata Sita, reached Mithila, the land of Mother Sita's appearance, on Thursday and were warmly welcomed there. Arun Govil and Deepika, who reached Darbhanga, were received by the city's MLA Sanjay Saraogi by giving them a bouquet of flowers along with pag and chadar as per the tradition of Mithila. Both the artists had reached Darbhanga to attend a private function, where after spending some time in the hotel, they went straight to Ghanshayampur village in Darbhanga where they attended an Upanayan ceremony. A crowd of villagers gathered here to see both the artists. Seeing Ram and Sita of the Ramayana serial, people got so excited that they started chanting Jai Shri Ram with full enthusiasm and devotion. On this occasion, Arun Govil and Deepika praised the holy land of Mother Sita and advocated the construction of a grand temple in Sitamarhi on the lines of Ayodhya.
