गणतंत्र दिवस से पहले जम्मू-कश्मीर में सभी ऐतिहासिक इमारतों को तिरंगे वाली रौशनी से सजाया गया. इसके अलावा तमाम रास्तों पर भी रंग-बिरंगी लाइट्स लगाई गए हैं. जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख उच्च न्यायालय परिसर को भी तिरंगे के रंग वाली लाइटों से सजाया गया है.
