सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट परिसर में बनी एक मस्जिद को हटाने का आदेश दिया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के परिसर में बनी इस मस्जिद को हटाने के लिए तीन महीने का वक्त दिया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मस्जिद हटाए जाने का विरोध कर रहे याचिकाकर्ताओं के दावे को खारिज कर दिया. कोर्ट ने कहा कि धार्मिक स्ट्रक्चर एक ऐसी जगह पर बना है जिसकी लीज खत्म हो चुकी है, इसलिए इस पर अधिकार कायम रखने का दावा नहीं किया जा सकता. याचिकाकर्ताओं, वक्फ मस्जिद हाई कोर्ट और यूपी सुन्नी सेंट्रल वक्फ बोर्ड ने नवंबर 2017 के इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के आदेश को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी. दरअसल, हाई कोर्ट ने याचिकाकर्ताओं से मस्जिद को अदालत परिसर से बाहर करने के लिए तीन महीने का समय दिया था. सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जस्टिस M.R शाह और जस्टिस C.T रविकुमार की बेंच ने सोमवार को उनकी याचिका खारिज कर दी. - हालांकि, कोर्ट ने याचिकाकर्ताओं को मस्जिद के लिए पास में किसी जमीन के आवंटन को लेकर उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार से गुजारिश करने की अनुमति दी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने याचिकाकर्ताओं को स्ट्रक्चर गिराने के लिए और तीन महीने का समय दिया है. अगर अगले तीन महीने के भीतर ये निर्माण नहीं हटाया गया तो हाई कोर्ट और प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों के पास इसे हटाने या गिराने का विकल्प रहेगा.

However, the court allowed the petitioners to approach the Uttar Pradesh government for allotment of a nearby land for the mosque. The Supreme Court has given the petitioners three more months to demolish the structure. If this construction is not removed within the next three months, then the High Court and the administrative authorities will have the option of removing or demolishing it.
