अब बात महिला शक्ति की. महाराष्ट्र में कुछ महिलाओं ने नया कीर्तिमान बनाया है. महाराष्ट्र स्टेट रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉरपोरेशन में 28 महिला बस ड्राइवरों के शामिल होने से एक नए युग की शुरुआत हुई है. इनमें से कुछ महिला ड्राइवरों ने रोडवेज बस चलाना शुरू कर दिया है. 75 साल में ये पहली बार है जब महिलाएं महाराष्ट्र में सरकारी बस चलाते नजर आ रही हैं. माधवी संतोष साल्वे भी इन पहली महिला ड्राइवरों में शामिल हैं. माधवी ने सिन्नार-नासिक बस का स्टीयरिंग व्हील थामा और यात्रियों को उनकी मंजिल तक पहुंचाया. महाराष्ट्र स्टेट रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉरपोरेशन के वाइस चैयरमैन ने बताया कि इन महिला ड्राइवरों को कड़ी ट्रेनिंग से गुजरने के बाद ये बड़ी जिम्मेदारी दी गई है. महाराष्ट्र की रोडवेस बसों में 5500 से ज्यादा महिला कंडक्टर पहले से तैनात हैं.
