भारत समेत दुनिया भर में वर्ल्ड कार फ़्री डे मनाया गया. इन्दौर में भी इसे नो कार डे के तौर पर सेलिब्रेट किया गया. दरअसल इस अभियान के तहत प्रशासन ने चार पहिया वाहन चालकों को एक दिन के लिए अपनी कार नहीं चलाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया. इस दौरान लोगों से ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा सार्वजनिक वाहनों के इस्तेमाल की अपील की गई. प्रशासन की इस पहल का असर जनता पर भी दिखा और इससे एयर क्वॉलिटी इंडेक्स में काफ़ी सुधार आया.
World Car Free Day was celebrated all over the world including India. It was also celebrated as No Car Day in Indore. In fact, under this campaign, the administration encouraged four-wheeler drivers not to drive their cars for a day. During this time, people were appealed to use public vehicles as much as possible.
