देवउठनी या देवोत्थान एकादशी के बाद तुलसी विवाह किया जाता है. सनातन धर्म से जुड़ी धार्मिक मान्यताओं के दीपावली के बाद एकादशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु चार महीने बाद योगनिद्रा से जागते हैं. भगवान विष्णु जागते हैं तब ही मांगलिक कार्य संपन्न हो पाते हैं. यही वजह है कि आज दिल्ली-एनसीआर में आज 40 हजार शादियां हैं. देवउठनी एकादशी के एक दिन के बाद तुलसी विवाह किया जाता है. ऐसे मान्यता है कि तुलसी माता और भगवान विष्णु के स्वरूप शालिग्राम जी का विवाह करवाने पर परिवार में सुख-समृद्धि हमेशा बनी रहती है.
Tulsi marriage is performed after Devuthani or Devotthan Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu wakes up from nidra after four months on the day of Ekadashi, after Diwali, the religious beliefs related to Sanatan Dharma. Only when Lord Vishnu wakes up are the auspicious works accomplished. This is the reason why today there are 40 thousand marriages in Delhi-NCR. Tulsi marriage is performed one day after Devuthani Ekadashi.
