रुद्राभिषेक कभी भी किया जाए हमेशा शुभ फलदायी होता है लेकिन महाशिवरात्रि के मौके पर इसका महत्व कई गुना बढ़ जाता है. शिवपुराण के रुद्रसंहिता में बताया गया है महाशिवरात्रि, सावन सोमवार और शिवरात्रि पर अगर रुद्राभिषेक किया जाए तो यह विशेष फलदायी होता है.
Rudrabhishek is always auspicious and fruitful whenever it is performed but its importance increases manifold on the occasion of Mahashivratri. It is mentioned in Rudrasamhita of Shivpuran that if Rudrabhishek is performed on Mahashivratri, Sawan Monday and Shivratri, then it is especially fruitful.
