चर्चा है कि एशियन गेम्स में शामिल चीन की दो एथलीट की तस्वीर ख़ुद चीन में बैन कर दी गई. ये तस्वीर रेस ट्रैक पर इनके गले लगने की थी. दरअसल लिन यूवेई को दौड़ने के लिए 6 नंबर की बिब, तो वू यान्नी को 4 नंबर की बिब मिली थी. लेकिन चीन के सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफ़ॉर्म वीवो में इन नंबरों को एक ऐतिहासिक घटना से जोड़ दिया गया. जब 4 जून 1989 को चीनी सेना ने हज़ारों प्रदर्शनकारियों पर फ़ायरिंग कर दी थी. क्योंकि ये घटना जून यानी छठे महीने में 4 तारीख़ को हुई थी. जबकि एशियन गेम्स में गले मिलते समय भी एथलीट के कपड़ों पर 6 और 4 शब्द लिखा हुआ था. ऐसे में लोगों को फिर से 34 साल पुरानी उस दर्दनाक घटना की याद आ रही थी. ये अंक 6 और 4 ठीक वैसे ही जोड़े जा रहे थे. जैसे हम अमेरिका पर हुए हमले को 9/11 और मुंबई हमले को 26/11 के नाम से जानते हैं. पर अब चीनी सोशल मीडिया पर गले लगने की तस्वीर ग़ायब दिख रही है.
The photographs of two Chinese athletes participating in the Asian Games were banned in China itself. This picture was of them hugging on the race track. Actually, Lin Youwei got bib number 6 for running, while Wu Yanni got bib number 4. But these numbers were linked to a historical event in China's social media platform Vivo. When on June 4, 1989, the Chinese army opened fire on thousands of protesters. Because this incident happened on the 4th of June i.e. the sixth month. Whereas even while hugging in the Asian Games, the words 6 and 4 were written on the athletes' clothes. In such a situation, people were again remembering that painful incident of 34 years ago. These numbers 6 and 4 were being added exactly the same way. Like we know the attack on America as 9/11 and Mumbai attack as 26/11. But now the picture of hugging seems to be missing on Chinese social media.
