मिडफ़ील्डर सलीमा टेटे को भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम का कप्तान बनाया गया. उन्हें अनुभवी गोलकीपर सविता पूनिया की जगह ये मौका मिला. झारखंड के सिमडेगा की रहने वालीं सलीमा टेटे अब इस महीने के आख़िर में होने वाले एफआईएच प्रो लीग के मुक़ाबलों में भारतीय टीम का ज़िम्मा संभालेंगी. ये मुकाबले बेल्जियम में 22 से 26 मई जबकि इंग्लैंड में एक से नौ जून तक होंगे.
