अमेरिका में अप्रवासी भारतीयों समेत दूसरे विदेशियों के लिए गुड न्यूज़ है. वहां नागरिकता और इमिग्रेशन के मामले देखने वाली संस्था USCIS यानी यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स सिटिज़नशिप ऐंड इमिग्रेशन सर्विसिस ने साफ़ किया कि कई विकल्प ऐसे हैं, जिनसे छंटनी के शिकार हुए लोग 60 दिन बाद भी अमेरिका छोड़ने से बच सकते हैं. USCIS के निदेशक एम.जड्डु के मुताबिक़ ये मानना ग़लत है कि H1B वीज़ा रखने वाले बर्ख़ास्त कर्मचारियों को 60 दिनों के अन्दर देश छोड़ना होगा. उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे लोग दूसरे विकल्पों और नियमों के ज़रिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं. इस बीच कहा जा रहा है कि अमेरिका को H1B वीज़ा के लिए 65 हज़ार आवेदन मिले. अमेरिका में ये वीज़ा अप्रवासियों को दिया जाता है, ताकि वो वहां काम कर सकें.
There is good news for other foreigners including non-resident Indians in America. There, USCIS i.e. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, an organization that deals with matters of citizenship and immigration, made it clear that there are many options through which people who have been retrenched can avoid leaving the US even after 60 days. According to USCIS Director M. Jaddu, it is wrong to believe that fired workers holding H1B visas will have to leave the country within 60 days. He said that such people can apply through other options and rules. Meanwhile, it is being said that America received 65 thousand applications for H1B visa. In America, this visa is given to immigrants so that they can work there.
