ताइवान की राजधानी ताइपे बुधवार को भूकंप के जोरदार झटके से दहल गया. रिक्टर पैमाने पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 7.2 रही. भूकंप से भीषण तबाही हुई है. इससे बिजली सप्लाई बाधित हो गई है. देशभर में ट्रेन सेवाओं को सस्पेंड कर दिया है. ये भूकंप इतना जबरदस्त था कि इसके बाद जापान के दो द्वीपों पर सुनामी आ गई.
