चैत्र नवरात्रि का आज पांचवां दिन है. चैत्र नवरात्रि के पांचवें दिन मां दुर्गा के स्कंदमाता स्वरूप की पूजा की जा रही है. मां दुर्गा के सभी रुपों में स्कंदमाता का ममतामयी रूप है और इनकी पूजा करने से बुद्धि का विकास होता है और ज्ञान की प्राप्ति होती है. स्कंद कुमार अर्थात स्वामी कार्तिकेय की माता होने के कारण मां के पांचवे स्वरूप को स्कंदमाता कहा जाता है.
Today is the fifth day of Chaitra Navratri. Skandamata form of Maa Durga is being worshiped on the fifth day of Chaitra Navratri. Among all the forms of Maa Durga, Skandamata has the loving form and by worshiping her, intelligence develops and knowledge is gained. Being the mother of Skanda Kumar means Swami Kartikeya, the fifth form of the mother is called Skandamata.
