आज गणेश चतुर्थी का त्योहार है. हिंदू पंचांग के मुताबिक, भाद्रपद माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि को गणेश चतुर्थी का पर्व मनाया जाता है.माना जाता है कि इसी दिन भगवान गणेश का जन्म हुआ था. यूं तो हर महीने में गणेश चतुर्थी आती है लेकिन भाद्रपद माह में आने वाली शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि को काफी खास माना जाता है.
