भारतीय वायुसेना की ताकत को बढ़ाने के लिए स्पेन के साथ करार किया गया.स्पेन की यूरोपियन कंपनी से करार के तहत इंडियन एयरफोर्स को C-295 एयरक्राफ्ट के पहले विमान की डिलीवरी हो गई है. स्पेन में भारतीय वायुसेना प्रमुख वीआर चौधरी ने इसे रिसीव किया. करार के तहत 16 फ्लाइंग कंडीशन विमान भारत आने हैं. जबकि मेक इन इंडिया के तहत 40 विमान भारत में ही बनेंगे.
Under the deal, Airbus will deliver the first 16 aircraft in 'fly-away' condition from its final assembly line in Seville by 2025 and the subsequent 40 aircraft will be manufactured and assembled by Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) in India as part of an industrial partnership between the two companies..
