कष्टों से मिलेगा छुटकारा, पशु-पक्षियों की सेवा से तृप्त होंगे पितृ

ऐसा माना जाता है कि पितृ पक्ष में हमारे पितृ धरती पर आकर हमें आशीर्वाद देते हैं. ये पितृ पशु पक्षियों के माध्यम से हमारे निकट आते हैं. जिन जीवों तथा पशु पक्षियों के माध्यम से पितृ आहार ग्रहण करते हैं वे हैं - गाय,कुत्ता,कौवा और चींटी. श्राद्ध के समय इनके लिए भी आहार का एक अंश निकाला जाता है, तभी श्राद्ध कर्म पूर्ण होता है. श्राद्ध करते समय पितरों को अर्पित करने वाले भोजन के पांच अंश निकाले जाते हैं - गाय,कुत्ता,चींटी,कौवा और देवताओं के लिए. इन पांच अंशों का अर्पण करने को पञ्च बलि कहा जाता है.

It is believed that on Pitru Paksha, our ancestors come to earth and bless us. These ancestral animals come near to us through birds. The organisms and animals through which birds take their father's food are - cow, dog, crow and ant. At the time of Shradh, a portion of the food is taken out for them also, only then the Shradh karma is completed. While performing Shradh, five portions of the food offered to the ancestors are taken out - cow, dog, ant, crow and for the deities. Offering these five parts is called Panch Bali.
