आज शारदीय नवरात्रि का पांचवां दिन है और मां दुर्गा के भक्त उनके पांचवें स्वरूप स्कंदमाता की पूजा आराधना कर रहे हैं. मान्यता है कि सच्चे मन से स्कंदमाता की आराधना करने से भक्तों की हर मनोकामना पूरी होती है और संतान प्राप्ति के लिए स्कंदमाता की आराधना करना लाभकारी माना गया है. वहीं देश के कोने कोने में मां दुर्गा के पंडाल बनाए गए हैं और उनमें कई तरह के सामाजिक संदेश भी दिए गए हैं.
