The work of linking Aadhar card with Voter ID has started. The Election Commission claims that by linking Voter ID with Aadhar card, duplication in electoral roll will be prevented. For the first time in 2015, the Election Commission started work on the scheme to link Voter ID with Aadhaar card. However, the Supreme Court had put a stay on this plan.
