पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी जल्द ही अपनी कैबिनेट का विस्तार करेंगे. इसके लिए वो विचार-विमर्श कर रहे हैं. सीएम पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू और उपमुख्यमंत्री सुखजिंदर सिंह रंधावा व ओपी सोनी के साथ दिल्ली गए थे व उनका इस पर पार्टी के पंजाब प्रभारी हरीश रावत के साथ चर्चा हुई, लेकिन इस दौरान कोई फैसला नहीं हो सका. इस पर फाइनल निर्णय कांग्रेस के पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी करेंगे. बताया जा रहा है कि राहुल गांधी मंत्रियों को लेकर फैसला ले सकते हैं.
